Ulrich Seidl is a highly accomplished professional with over 30 years of international experience leading Siemens’ Industrial Business Units and Divisions across a diverse range of countries, including the USA, China, CRE/SRE, South Korea, Switzerland, Germany, the UK, and Saudi Arabia. Beginning his career in the early 1980s, Ulrich was a trailblazer in introducing automation technology to the People's Republic of China, working with universities and research institutes to establish a foundation for the country’s technological growth in this field.

During his tenure in China from 1989 to 1994, Ulrich played a pivotal role in setting up multiple training and service centers, as well as a comprehensive Partner Network across P.R. China, which greatly expanded the distribution of automation systems through a wide network of authorized partners. His leadership extended globally, with roles including the management of Siemens' Process Automation Business Unit in the USA and overseeing the Automation & Drives Division in South Korea. In Switzerland, he led Siemens Fire Safety Business Units across Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America. Later, in Saudi Arabia, he directed Siemens' Building Technologies Division and fostered strategic partnerships with Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC), one of the largest chemical companies in the world.

In addition to his professional achievements, Ulrich is an avid amateur radio operator, a hobby he has pursued since the early 1980s. Operating under the call signs DG9RAB and KF4WHP (US Call), he has a deep expertise in satellite communication and digital modes, with particular enthusiasm for FT4 and FT8 digital technologies. He also enjoys Morse code (CW) communication. His residence in Kirchenthumbach, Bavaria, provides the perfect setting for his hobbies, which include golfing, gardening, playing piano, and developing websites through HTML programming. Even in retirement, Ulrich remains engaged in consultancy work, offering his expertise as a Senior Expert.
